On the Outer Banks, most rental weeks turn over on the same day, and most homes have about six hours between checkout and check-in. A turnover that runs well in that window isn't about working faster. It's about having a checklist and following it the same way every time.
Start with the things that take the longest: linens and towels. Strip every bed first, get laundry moving, and make beds with fresh sets as rooms are finished. Kitchens and bathrooms come next, because they're what guests inspect first and what reviews mention most.
Restocking is where many turnovers fall short. Keep an owner's closet with toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, and starter toiletries, and check it on every visit so nothing runs out mid-season.
Finish with an inspection, not just a clean. Look for broken items, stains, missing remotes, damage to walls or furniture, and anything that will need a repair. Report it to the owner with photos the same day, so it can be fixed or claimed before the next guests arrive.
